Delete Your Account

This page explains how to delete your Mystra account and the personal data associated with it. You can delete your account directly inside the Mystra app, or request deletion by contacting us. This applies to the account operated by Mystra Technology Ltd. across the Mystra mobile app and website.

The fastest way to delete your account is in the app:

Open the Mystra app and go to Settings.

Select Account, then Delete Account.

Confirm the request - we will email you a confirmation link.

Open the link within 24 hours to complete the deletion.

Deletion is permanent once the short recovery window passes.

If you cannot access the app, email [email protected] from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request, to protect your account. We aim to action verified requests promptly.

When your account is deleted:

Your profile, username, bio, and profile photo are removed from the Platform.

Your posts, videos, and uploaded content are removed.

Your messages and social connections (followers, following, blocks) are removed.

Any active campaigns are paused and resolved, and remaining wallet/escrow funds are handled in accordance with our Terms of Use.

Some data is retained only where the law requires it, and is deleted once the required period ends:

Financial and transaction records - retained for up to 7 years under Nigerian tax and financial regulations.

Identity verification (KYC) records - retained for the period required by anti-money-laundering regulations.

Records needed to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.

Other account data is deleted within 90 days of account deletion. Anonymised, aggregated data that can no longer identify you may be retained.
